I have always loved just looking, 

A free childhood in rural Wales and an early pleasure in creating images. A training in draughtsmanship and engineering.

Six years in India with it's magical colours and five more amongst the lochs and bens of Scotland.

Life again in Wales with seas and skies, mountains, rivers and lakes.

With my formal training in art slotted in between, all these memories influence my work today.

I paint and draw in whatever medium suits the subject and my response to it.

Working in soft pastels suits the gentle land and seascapes of west Wales, with oil paints rendering the rugged cliffs or stormier seas.

My floral works are at present in acrylics and oils, often on unprimed canvas.

The thrill of looking deep into a beautiful blossom and trying to capture it's joy for others to see is my great delight.

We live in a lovely area of Cardiganshire and like to share it.  Studio visits are welcomed.  Please phone for details and an appointment.
